Despite being heavily snowed under at work we both managed to get away for a long weekend in Scotland. During this time we did quite a few things including,

• A visit to Rosslyn Chapel (yes the one of Da Vinci Code fame)
• Attended a wedding at Dalhousie Castle
• A trip to Dawyck Botanic Gardens
• Spent a night at Stobo Castle, a luxury Health Spa (thanks Liz and John)
• Spent a day/night in Peebles and went to wonderful restaurant
• Visted Traquair House, Scotland’s oldest inhabited house.

Another shot I took during my strobist session with Andy was this series which he gave me a little help with. The Photoshoping is a bit dodgy but I reckon I could rework the “Hear No Evil” shot and make it look a touch more convincing.

Overall I like the feel of this though.

My friend Andy came to visit this weekend and we took loads of photos. Today we had a bit of a play with some strobist gear and after a bit of a false start (my triggers died so we could only use 1 flash) we had a fairly productive session.

We popped over to Edinburgh recently to visit family so naturally I took my camera with me. Here’s a few of my favourites form the weekend,

It was Gillian’s birthday recently so I took her on a trip to Forbidden Corner where we had a absolutely wonderful day. Here’s a few shots from our visit,

Its been a while I know but I’m snowed under at work so have barely touched a camera of late. The blogs a bit of a mess at the moment but hopefully I should be getting in sorted into a new website design over the next couple of months.

In the meantime here’s an old picture I took some months ago and never published I don’t know why but I quite like it.
